Like anything in this world, OS X isn’t perfect. As much as we wish it were, there’s a few annoyances that can drive even the most devout fanboys mad. That doesn’t have to be the case. Apple loves those recessed slot loading CD / DVD drives. They use them in MacBooks, iMacs, and MacBook Pros. While they look nice, what happens when a CD or DVD gets stuck in one of them? iPhoto can be simple to use and pretty straight-forward for beginners. It can also be extremely bloated, slow, and obnoxious if you have a large amount of pictures. Also annoying is the hidden maze of folders where your actual photos are stored. This brings up the question: What do you do with your digital camera’s pictures if you don’t like iPhoto?

With Microsoft Office 2007 (Windows) and Office 2008 (OS X), Microsoft introduced a new XML format. You’ll know them right away for two recognizable reasons. First, they have an X at the end of their file extension (.docx, .xlsx, .pptx). Second, they won’t open properly in older versions of Microsoft Office (2003/2004).
